Great to be home!

Today we got back from Georgia, and I am so glad to be back! Dylan did REALLY good on both of the flights. He even slept for a while both times. The only time he really got a little anxious was whe we were buclked in and just sitting on the run way waiting to take off. He sure did better then I htought he would! As for the wedding....Dylan didn't do his duty as ring bearer. I think that with the tux that he didn't like and not having a nap he was just being non-cooperative. Then to make things worse he kept me from being able to see ANY of the wedding. He wouln't sit on my lap, or anything. He just wanted to run around and play. Our hotel room was really nice though. I'm just glad to be home!

Not much new.

Nothing out of the ordinary has been happening with us. Just waiting on getting our loan so that we can get our garage started. It sounds like maybe we can have them start it next week sometime though. I will be so glad when it's done and Alton can stop fretting about it all! Only about a week left and Dylan will be going on his first plane ride to Georgia for Brian and Amy's wedding. This ought to be interesting. I hope he behaves and isn't one of those nightmarish kid plane riders that people sometimes talk about. I just hope he will sit on our laps and not want to get down and run up and down the aisle of them plane. At least it's only about a two hour flight.

A Nice Weekend!

We had a really nice Labor Day weekend. Alton had two whole days off in a row for once! He didn't end up getting called in for a change. We really didn't do a whole lot except hang out at home and relaxed a little. We did have to make a trip to The Home Depot to get some parts for OUR plumbing, but other then that we didn't leave. I told Alton just to leave our plumbing problems for the time being and enjoy his plumbing free weekend. Our bathroom sink hot water faucet drips and our toilet runs. So hopefully he will get to it this coming weekend. Now we are trying to get the last minute things taken car of so we can leave for the upcoming wedding in Georgia. We have to get a car rented, and I have to check on some things regarding Dylan. Other then that I think we are ready! It should be fun!

First Day of September!

Can you believe that it's already September? I sure can't. 21 days until we leave to go my brother-in-law's wedding in Georgia. It seems like yesterday we were saying only three months until we go! Time sure does fly! I'm not ready for Winter though!!! So is gas $5.00 a gallon where you are yet? We are up to $3.19 here so far. This is so ridiculous! I keep telling Alton that he's going to have to start driving our Malibu instead of his gas guzzling truck! We'll be broke trying to keep gas in that thing! I wonder if it will ever go back down. They say we need to start using less gas to get it to go down, but how is that possible. People HAVE to get to work and other places. I guess they could car pool. If you think about it, say a prayer for my Aunt Anne. The doctors have found a mass on one of her ovaries. They are doing a bunch of testing today. They're not sure if it's cancerous yet or not. But they know for sure that she will more then likely have to have a hysterectomy. I don't know what it is, but my family has been having so many tragedy's lately. My Dad is doing great though. He went to see a rehabilitation doctor yesterday. He didn't really tell him a whole lot except that he needs to see a plastic surgeon so that they do some skin graphs to cover up his open wounds that haven't healed properly. So anyway that's some good news.
