Ever noticed?

It was so funny....Today at the grocery store I picked a ckeckout line that had a young guy working it. So I put all of my stuff up on the conveyer belt and I was standing watching the guy ring it up. Well, my purchase included a certain feminine product......tampons. So he was ringing using both hands and then came time for him to ring the tampons. He used TWO fingers to run them across the scanner and put them in a bag. He put nothing else in the bag with the tampons. It was like he was going to get a disease from them or something. I was cracking up to myself! So next time you have to purchase that kind product and you don't have a woman ring you up, watch how the guys handles it. You might get a real laugh for the day!

Where has time went?

Yesterday while I was looking for a video to transfer the film from my camcorder I came across the video that had Dylan's first ultrasound on it. I hadn't watched in a very long time so I stuck it in. After the ultrasound comes film of Dylan every couple weeks from the time he was born. I was sad yet happy while I was watching. Sad because I miss Dylan gurgling and drooling and happy because he's doing more new things every day. So does that mean it's time to have another baby? LOL And then I came across my sister-in-laws wedding video. I put that in and watched as well. She and Stephen were so happy and excited to start their life together. Who would have thought things would end up the way they are now. Watching those two videos sure made me think how lucky I am to have that on tape and to have the family that I have .

Last Day of Vacation

Today is Alton's last day of his vacation. He is REALLY bumming! He's dreading going back tomorrow! He said he's ready to retire! LOL We didn't really do much all week, but it was nice to have him home all the time. We had such yucky weather all week! I had wanted to take Dylan to the zoo, but there was never a nice warm sunny day, so we didn't do that. We did get him an aquarium though. We set it up yesterday and went and got fish today. He loves it. Back to the ol' grind tomorrow:>(

Autofest Weekend

We are back from our weekend at the Frankenmuth Autofest. We had a blast! It was so nice to get away! The Auto show was spectacular. There were over 2000 classic cars at the show. And by classic I mean from 1973 and older. You would not believe some of the things that people had! There were cars painted with flames on them and then right behind them they had a mini duplicate of the car, only it was a trailer that is hauled behind the car. UNFORTUNATELY I forgot to take both my camera and video camera. So I have no pictures to share. But it is definitely something to see. Alton was in his glory when we heard the horn from the General Lee off The Dukes of Hazard. Immediately we HAD to find where the car was. When we did I thought he was going to go into shock. Owning a General Lee is his ultimate goal. We found out that the owner of this one lives in White Lake. Very close to us, so he said he'd be willing to help Alton restore one if he was to come across a Charger. We'll see. The only bummer of the day(Saturday) was that is pretty much misted all day long. So some people didn't take the tarps off of their cars. It was very chilly. But the weather didn't wreck our good time!

Vacation!!!

Well, as of 8:00 last night Alton started his vacation. He hasn't had a real vacation in a few years, so he is very excited about having the time off. He don't go back to work until next Monday. Today we are heading up to Frankenmuth to their annual Autofest. We've entered our 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The dog is at my brother's house and Dylan is staying with Grandpa and Grandma, so we get the weekend away to enjoy the Autofest. We aren't really sure what we will do for the rest of the week. I guess we'll pay it be ear.

9-5-06

Hope everybody had a nice Labor Day weekend. We did. Didn't do anything special, but we got a lot done to the dump truck that we bought. It's for the business that Alton is trying to get going. A hauling business. Like if somebody needs dirt hauled or if somebody want to clean out their garage and needs the junk hauled away. We repainted it and our neighbor did some welding work on it for us. The truck looks 100% better now. It is a little beat up, but it has low mileage and runs great, and for the price we couldn't beat it. Before we had a trailer with side on it to haul with, but then everything had to be unloaded by hand. Way too much work. Now everything dumps out! It's great! So if anybody needs anything hauled, let us know!
